Chittagong Steel Works Limited (CSW) is an ISO certified Steel Fabrication and Galvanization plant based in Bangladesh. The company was set up in Chittagong by an outstandingly dedicated and talented entrepreneur, Mr. Alauddin Ahmed and he has been in operation since 1956. His hard work, high ethical standards and dedication to commitment, has guided the company for many decades towards a journey of growth and success.

In 1967 the company was shifted to Dhaka in view of better industrial and commercial prospects. It was converted to a family partnership company in 1967 and was subsequently transformed into a private Limited Company registered with the Registrar of the joint Stock Companies of the Government of the people’s Republic of Bangladesh, with Mir Alauddin Ahmed as Chairman & Managing Director in 1976.

In course of time, the company was shifted to a larger area at panchabati, Fatullah, Narayangonj, with its corporate headquarters at House #410 (2nd floor), Lane # 07, DOHS, Baridhara, Dhaka – 1206 Bangladesh

 Screw Division

 Wood Screws:

 ISO Standard Rolled Threaded Wood screws are produced by CSW. Slot Cutting type wood Screws are non-electroplated, these are used for general construction work.

Two popular Brand of CSW Screws: Umbrella and Tici Brand.

Phillips (+) Type wood screws are coated by various electroplating process: i) Nickle-Chrome Plated, ii) Zinc Plated, iii) Copper plated which is familiar as Antique Color and iv) Zinc Plated Black or Copper Plated Black.

Roofing Screws:

ISO Standard Rolled Threaded Electroplated Roofing Screws are produced by CSW for the first time in Bangladesh. Zinc plating with proper thickness and fantastic bulish color makes CSW Roofing Screws very popular, CSW has been marketing Roofing Screws in four Brands regularly.

Tapping Screws:

CSW’s Tapping Screws are used widely in various fabrication works in the country specially for Aluminium profile fixing, furniture making and Decorative works. Export quality CSW Tapping Screws reduced import enormously. Almost all types of Tapping screws with all possible head styles are produced by CSW. Electroplating process are followed as Phillips wood screws.

 Machine Screws & Nuts:

CSW’s Produces wide range of machine Screws and Nuts of ISO and BS standards, which are used in Electrical switches, sockets, furnitures and various construction works. Best quality Machine screws of different electroplating process substantially reduced import of Machine screws in the country.

Almost all type of Machine screws with all possible head styles are produced. Machine Screws are coated by following Electroplating process:

2. Zinc Plated, Seven color

3. Nikel-chrome plated

4. Zinc/ copper plated, black

Blind Rivets:

Good quality anodized Blind Rivets of various colors and another one of CSW’s main products. Because of quality and lower price, these are very popular in domestic market and has reduced import enormously. CSW is now in the process to export Blind Rivets. CSW’s Anodized Blind Rivets are of following color profiles:

Different Types of Nail:

CSWL produces Different types of good quality non-electroplated Nails. These are used for General Construction work. CSW has now achieved production capacity of different sizes of nails about 150MT per month.
