The plate heat exchanger is made of 2 frames and a number of plates that depend on the volume to be exchanged. The plates have characteristic ridges that are necessary to create flow channels through which the fluid moves in perfectly opposing currents,minimizing the required surface area for an optimal heat exchanger. The frames are made of two pained carbon steels slabs. The internal plates have gaskets on the outer edge separating the plates from one another and are fixed tightly together by stay bolts,obtaining a perfect hold. This type of assembly permits having the fluid input and output on the same side of only one slab.
